Family Planning Services
Confidential contraceptive advice, fitting of contraceptive device and prescriptions are available free of charge, from your own doctor. We are very happy to see, help and advise teenagers on these matters. Please make an appointment during normal surgery hours. Emergency contraception is also available.
Providing that you are currently taking a contraceptive pill, are stable (no new headaches, blood clot in leg/lung, new onset of heart problem) and do not wish to make changes to the pill you are currently taking; then you may submit a manual prescription request at Reception by completing a contraceptive pill request form. You will be asked to record an up to date Height/Weight and BP reading - all of which can be done in reception. You may then collect your prescription 48 hours later. Please note if you have any of the issues mentioned, or you wish to switch to an alternative contractive pill, then you will be required to see the Nurse/GP for a Pill Check prior to obtaining further medication.
Maternity Services
All the doctors undertake full maternity care. The midwife team are based at The Warren Centre, Chestnut Road, Southampton, SO16 6BR and this is where you will be seen during your pregnancy. The postnatal examination can be combined with the six week baby check which will be with your GP.
